[Some Profile Information]
Feb. 27th, 2017 05:03 pm![]() | Qui-Gon Jinn Height; 6’4 (1.93 m) Weight; 195lbs (88.5 kg) Visual; Qui-Gon is notoriously tall and broad, towering over most humans. Despite his large frame, he’s also often described as graceful and fluid in his movements. He’s athletic and in good shape for a sixty-year-old, although if anyone were to see him without his robes, they’d find a bunch of scars. He has a messy beard, messy eyebrows, and long hair that he only brushes when he remembers to (so he ties it up and calls it a day). Fashion; He doesn’t care for fashion, or for looking well-kept. Therefore, Qui-Gon usually sticks to his traditional, minimalist Jedi robes. However, as someone who appreciates and tries to immerse himself in the culture he’s currently living within, Qui-Gon does own some simple clothing from around Verens. Demeanour; It’s tough being six-foot-forever and staying inconspicuous, but Qui-Gon manages to do so by making subtle changes to his stance. Depending on who he’s speaking to, he’ll keep his shoulders hunched to avoid intimidating the individual, but when the moment calls for it, he’ll draw himself to his full height and adopt a more prominent stature. He’s also described as charismatic regardless of how he approaches an individual, so no matter what kind of display he’s making, chances are good he’s keeping everyone’s attention (unless he doesn’t want to). Aural; Qui-Gon usually speaks in a soft, yet commanding tone. Even when he’s miffed, he doesn’t raise his voice, and if he does, then you know you done goofed. While his accent is considered ‘Inner Rim’ in canon, anyone from Earth in-game would hear it as a slight Irish accent. The first half of this video is a good example of how he usually sounds, stilted dialogue aside. Olfactory; Y’all are lucky if he even showers regularly. Qui-Gon has been described as having a musky-ish scent (in-canon compared to a Rodian), which I’d say is similar to something earthy like witch hazel or truffles (the mushroom kind). He doesn’t decorate himself with perfumes or colognes—too much work for something so arbitrary (in his opinion). Etc; ![]() |

Backtagging: Always and forever!
Threadhopping: If you could let me know beforehand, that'd be awesome, but it's totally okay if you can't either. I'd just prefer to know so I don't accidentally step on anyone's toes.
Fourthwalling: Let's talk first! I'm generally okay with it so if it happens by accident, no big deal.
Offensive subjects: None! I don't get offended easily. Additionally, I tend to steer clear of any potentially upsetting topics when it comes to OOC conversation unless you bring it up first. I don't judge!

Hugging this character: He'd be a bit surprised, but go for it!
Kissing this character: lmao
Flirting with this character: LMAO (do it)
Fighting with this character: YES!!! Let's plan it out beforehand so we know how the fight goes, but 100% yes!
Injuring this character: Injuring is A-OK, but let's talk about this too so I know what kind of injuries he'll have for threads that may take place after a confrontation.
Killing this character: I'm okay with it, but I'd like for it to be planned first.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: YOUR CHARACTER WILL HAVE A BAD TIME. As with everything before, this is also something to be talked about/planned.
[SPECIFIC TO QUI-GON]
OKAY SO. Qui-Gon here is a Jedi Master who is hella skilled with this big ol' energy field that binds his galaxy/universe/whatevs together called the Force. Q-G in particular loves to use something called the Jedi Mind Trick which opens those with weaker wills to the power of suggestion. It's one of his specialties, and he's notorious for using this power somewhat liberally.
Please comment here with your preferences on using this power on one of your characters! Mention things like whether or not you believe it will work on them, any consequences that may arise, or if you'd prefer me to not have Q-G use the power in the first place. I will ALWAYS ask players first and/or check this post before having him attempt to perform a mind trick on a character in a thread/log/etc., but having a comment here will help eliminate that need and speed things up.
Thank you!
